There is nothing better than adding a little more value to your outfit with jewellery. Furthermore, it is a trend that suits both men and women. However, women’s jewellery is very different to men’s.

Women’s jewellery is far more complex and is usually more intricate designs. Men’s jewellery tends to be more simplistic and can be worn with anything. Here, we are going to give you a quick guide on how you can style the modern-day piece and what type of jewellery you can wear.

Simple Is Enough

Plain jewellery is a great addition to men’s outfits. Don’t get me wrong, a signet ring looks amazing but when wearing a suit or casual clothing, nothing beats a plain platinum or silver ring. Same with your watches, don’t look for complex watches and instead look for variations that are much simpler such as a classic leather watch. Once you are happy and comfortable at styling simplistic pieces, we suggest you take them to the next level.

Match Metals

Matching metals is something that you should always look at doing, no matter what your outfit is. For example, if you are wearing a silver watch, wear a silver ring or silver chain with it. If you are wearing gold then do the same. There is nothing wrong with mixing your metals. However, ensure that the one singular piece which is different to the rest is hidden.

Jewellery and Dress Codes

In the modern world, there are many dress codes for how you should dress when going to work or a bar/restaurant. For a company, the usual dress sense would be a smart-casual style however, there would be many companies that would prefer a full suit.

When wearing jewellery for the workplace, you want to wear simple pieces and try not to wear too much. Jewellery is something that needs to be styled correctly or it will just look odd. For a smart-casual style, look at a leather strap watch and just a plain silver or gold ring. Depending on the colour of the bezel of the watch. If you are wearing a suit then wear a chained watch that matches the jewellery you are wearing.

Different Types of Mens Jewellery

There are many different types of jewellery that a man can own which is what we are going to look at next.

Wedding Bands

When you are married, you want to ensure that the jewellery you wear matches your wedding band. If you want to wear different metals to your wedding band then make sure that they are a similar colour. For example, you don’t want to be wearing silver with a gold ring.

Watches

Up next, we have got the watches. If you are ok with wearing something on your wrist, we would suggest that you buy yourself a watch. If you have the money, make sure that you have multiple. One watch that can be worn with your casual outfits then another watch which is more suitable for your dressy occasions.

Field watches, dress watches or dive watches are the much simpler watches that you would wear with a leather strap. Chronograph, racing or pilot watches are far more complex designs which are much better for the dressy occasion. There are so many watches out there that are affordable and fashionable. Whether you are buying a timeless piece to go with your day-to-day attire or, wearing it for a night out. A watch is a must-buy for every man that wants to take their style to the next level.

Rings

Rings are another great addition to a man’s outfit, and they are fashionable. They are very much on-trend at the moment for men due to there being so many different styles. For those men that work in manual labour jobs, we suggest that you wear a platinum ring as they are more durable. However, if your job is working at a computer all day, a silver or gold ring would be perfect for you.

One of the best things about rings is that you can layer them. For example, wear multiple gold rings with one stand-out piece. If you want to show off your sense of style, wear rings that match up with your vintage jewellery to show you class and taste.

Summary

There are many wonderful pieces out there that a man can wear for their jewellery. If you just want something to compliment the rest of your outfit then we would recommend that you wear something as plain as a silver ring or a leather-strapped watch. Sometimes, simple is enough to take your style to the next level.
