In light of the surge in searches, UK caravan holiday park provider, Parkdean Resorts has revealed the most popular UK locations for a spring staycation. So, if you’re ready to book a staycation for spring 2026 this Black Friday, here are the places that should be on your radar.

Scoring 48.7, Whitby is set to be a popular destination for holidaymakers in spring – especially with Google searches for ‘Whitby staycation’ soaring by 200% year on year, the highest increase of all cities analysed.
- Devon, England
Devon is set to be the third most popular spring destination, with a total rank of 47.8. The place where British cream tea originated, Devon’s beach highlights include Woolacombe and Exmouth.
- Cornwall, England
‘Cornwall staycations’ have seen a 91% increase in Google searches over the last year, making it one of the trendiest destinations to visit this spring. Surrounded by picturesque beaches and fun-filled attractions, this beautiful peninsula has lots to explore.
- Edinburgh, Scotland
With over 1,000 Instagram posts showcasing the city in the spring months, Edinburgh is the most photographed location in the index. With gorgeous cobbled streets, lovely shops and plenty of historic charm, the city ranks as the fifth most in-demand spring destination.
- Glasgow, Scotland
Glasgow has seen a 175% increase in demand for staycations within the last year, with 11,410 Google searches specifically related to spring holidays. And with so much to explore in the quaint streets of the city centre, Glasgow will make an excellent option for an early 2026 getaway.
- Dorset, England
With a score of 38.1, Dorset ranks in seventh place. The Jurassic Coast is an interesting destination for adventure-packed activities in spring 2026, especially for those who enjoy hiking, fossil collecting and all things outdoors.

The Lake District is a great place for a year-round destination, with scenic walking trails around some of the world’s most beautiful lakes and mountains. While the Cotswolds is an extremely popular autumnal destination, Parkdean Resorts’ research shows that the region is set to be a hit in spring too, with 8,600 monthly Google searches for spring related terms.
- Norfolk, England
Rounding off the top 10 is Norfolk, with a 29% search increase for local staycations and 4,650 Google searches for those looking for spring holidays in the area.
