If you are new to exercise, you are probably a little bit nervous about the gym. That is completely natural and common for a lot of people. Many things can put you off being in the gym although they shouldn’t. The First Stage

If it is your first time stepping foot into the gym, there are many things that you should do. Finally, ensure that you watch videos online to ensure you are doing the exercise right as it can lead to injury if you are not.

Never be afraid to ask whether you can share inbetween their sets. At some point, they are going to be resting which is when you can begin your exercise. Then you can keep alternating inbetween each other’s sets. If you don’t want to share because of nerves, just ask how many sets they have got left. 

Failure Isn’t Failure When In The Gym

We cannot stress enough that failure is not a failure when you are in the gym. Pushing yourself to your absolute limits is the only way you will get stronger. If you are not failing to do the final rep or, failing to complete your final set, you are doing it right. It shows that you are testing your limits and putting your muscles to the test. Just because you have failed a set this time doesn’t mean you will never be able to do it. Use failure in the gym to be your greatest motivator. 

Ensure You Are Providing Your Body With The Right Fuel

There is a famous saying when it comes to the gym and that is “80% diet and 20% exercise”. If you want to start seeing results, you need to ensure that you are consuming the right foods. If you are going to the gym to build muscle, ensure you are eating enough protein in your diet. If you are looking to lose weight, ensure that you are avoiding sugary and fatty goods as well as limiting your calories. As soon as your diet is correct, you will soon see the benefits of why you are going to the gym.
