Launching NeverLost Chocolate – the Devon Brand Bringing Back Real Chocolate

  • PublishedOctober 27, 2026

If you have tried some of the most popular high street chocolate brands lately, you might have noticed that something is different about them. They’re smaller for starters, but also the taste seems to have changed and the ingredients list also seems to have got longer and worse. Shrinkflation has hit the chocolate industry in a big way and this is what a new brand based in Devon is aiming to put right.

NeverLost Chocolate recently launched a unique line up of filled chocolate bars, something distinctly different from the artisan chocolates on offer in farm shops and delis across the UK.

Brand proprietor Oli Lynch says, “I’ve always been a chocolate fan, but the filled snack bars you get nowadays are not a patch on what you used to get. They’re smaller and blander than ever and a lot of the companies such as Cadbury’s or Nestle are wrapped up in various controversies – and I just wanted to find a good chocolate bar that is more than a slab of dark chocolate. So I decided to make my own”.

The lineup

NeverLost has intentionally launched as a small range with just four bars to start with. These bars are all based on classic flavours but with a ‘grown up’ twist.

Nuts and Noir is a peanut caramel bar with a salty burnt butter caramel, and is arguably the star of the show. Similar to a classic Snickers bar, this combines the sweetness of milk chocolate with the crunch of peanuts and a deep caramel.

Jaffa Spritz is based on the classic Jaffa cake but with an extra note of whisky in the orange jelly. Combined with a light shortbread and wrapped in dark chocolate, this is definitely one that fits the grown up flavours brief.

Cherry Vista is based on an Australian classic, the Cherry Ripe, which combines cherry and coconut, with a strong coconut profile similar to a Bounty. This is a deceptively simple bar and is the one that is suitable for those who are avoiding dairy as the dark chocolate itself is dairy free.

Tea Fuel is another classic, the biscuit and caramel in milk chocolate. With an oaty biscuit, similar to a Hob Nob, and a tea infused cream caramel this is the sort of bar reminiscent of a Twix or perhaps even a Boost bar.

NeverLost chocolate bars

All of the core NeverLost chocolate range are made from standard ingredients you’d find in your kitchen and are 100% preservative and additive free.

“The whole range is built on the idea of real food and trying to go UPF-free. There are things I’ve had to learn to make myself because I couldn’t find a preservative free version, and a few flavours that didn’t make the cut. At least not yet”.

All the bars are currently hand made in Plymouth and packaged in recyclable paper packaging.

Where can you buy NeverLost Chocolate?

NeverLost recently launched online, which is where you can check the full range and buy single bars or the giftpacks. But they are currently building their network of stockists and expect to be available in delicatessens, coffee shops and local stores across Devon and Cornwall within the coming weeks.
