South West IT and technology support company Timewade have announced their new partnership with local charity Somerset Sight.
Timewade will be working with Somerset Sight as their Charity of the Year, raising money and awareness to support people living with visual impairment.
Somerset Sight offers a range of practical and emotional support to enable people who are blind or visually impaired to remain independent, from the point of diagnosis and beyond. The charity’s services include low visual aids, a mobile advisory service, activity groups and a volunteer visiting service, supporting over 3,500 people and their families across Somerset.
Jackie Sopwith, CEO of Somerset Sight said: “We are delighted that Timewade has chosen us as their Charity of the Year. We are looking forward to working with them to raise much needed funds for Somerset Sight which will be used to improve the health and well-being of those with sight loss, and to increase independence through technology. Somerset Sight is seeking volunteers so if you feel able to help please call us on 01823 333818.”

Timewade’s fundraising efforts will include entering a team for the Dragon Boat Racing at Sherborne Country Fair on 29th May, and hosting a Dining in the Dark event.
