Most people will have heard the news about the mass shootings in our fair city of Plymouth. We just want to say that our hearts go out to all those affected, and to offer our support to the community.

Like everyone in Plymouth today, we are shocked and saddened by the horrible news.

It’s always shocking when we see news from a faraway place of random acts of violence. But when it happens on our doorstep it really hits home.

We’re not going to get into the debate about mental health, domestic terrorism or gun laws at this time.

And it’s definitely not time for conjecture about the mans reasons for killing five innocent people, including a child. It’s plain that he wasn’t a well person. After all, who in their right frame of mind kills innocent people on the street in broad daylight?

But our city has seen it’s share of tragedy.

We will bounce back. We will be strong.

We hope that good things will come from this shocking incident. Perhaps more community engagement or investment, or anything to ensure that this kind of thing is prevented in future.

Here’s to keeping our chins up and coming back bigger and stronger!
